Janakpur Royals won by six wickets against Pokhara Avengers at Tribhuvan international cricket ground. One cold morning in Kathmandu made the bowlers of Janakpur fire up their swinging engines to totally destroy the batting lineup of the Pokhara Avengers. Royals bundled Avengers for 68 runs in the matter of twelve overs in the first innings only to chase down 69 runs in nine overs. The bowline line clinched the deal with fierce performance, led by Sompal Kami’s profuse inline bowling. Maharjan, Sheikh, and Tharanga were his victims today. Kami plucked three by giving away only eight runs in the two overs he bowled. The conditions were freezing in the morning where Janakpur Royals won the toss and elected to field first. Lalit Rajbanshi and Ashraf, each bagged two wickets while other bowlers in play bagged one wicket each to restrict the batting side quickly.
The second innings was a little better for the batting side as the sun was above the head. Ashraf comprehensively never took a step back and hit three sixes and three fours in his opening innings of 37 runs before he fell to Kushal Malla. The skipper Griffith later came in with three fours and got one more victory in the Janakpur Royals bag.
